Combined trip: Kenya / Tanzania

Fancy taking a short trip to Kenya and Tanzania? As you are no doubt aware, there are a number of steps you need to take before setting foot on the soil of these 2 countries. One of these is the e-Visa. This is an important document, because it gives you permission to stay in these countries. So how do you get it? We tell you all about it!

Go to the appropriate platforms

To apply for an e-Visa, you first need to visit the websites that are suitable for this procedure. There are generally many such sites. However, it is best to go to an appropriate site. You can go to the relevant authorities' site or via the site you are on. Whatever the platform, the procedure is similar.

Bear in mind that you must apply at least a few days before your trip.

Applying for a Kenya e-Visa

You must apply for a Kenya e-Visa at least 72 hours before the day of travel. Obviously, you will be asked to provide certain documents to make your application. For example, you must provide a scan or colour photocopy of your passport. In addition to this, you must also provide your identification photos and details of the trip you wish to undertake.

At this stage, it will be important to give the duration of your stay in Kenya, the hotel reservation you have made and the airport or border town of arrival. Once you have provided this information, you will be authorised to begin your stay in Kenya.

However, there are a few things you should bear in mind. If you are accompanied by children under the age of 16, they will not need to provide a visa, but their identity document. You should also bear in mind that the e-Visa is valid for 90 days.

Lastly, the cost of the e-Visa procedure is 45 €plus any private intermediary fees. This sum is payable for each e-Visa application. If there are several of you applying, you can always make a group application to avoid having to go through the procedure several times.
