The e-Visa is valid for tourist or business travel (90 days maximum and 1 entry per person). Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Tanzania. Once issued, you must enter Tanzania with the authorization within 90 days. The visa validity period will then start from the date of your arrival in the country, and not when the authorization is issued.

You can enter Tanzania via one of these 5 points: Julius Nyerere airport(Dar es Salaam), Kilimanjaro airport, Abeid Amani Karume airport(Zanzibar), Namanga border (Kenya) or Tunduma border (Zambia ) . You don't need to know anyone in Tanzania to apply. You must be out of the country at the time of application, and have a means of leaving the country (return air ticket, etc.).

Everything is done entirely online, so you don't have to send anything by post, and you don't have to go anywhere. The photocopy of the passport, the passport photo and the plane ticket will be sent once the form has been filled in. You'll then receive a PDF file, which you'll need to print out in color and present on boarding and on arrival in Tanzania.
