It is made up of the mainland of Tanzania and the archipelago of Zanzibar, which lies around 35 kilometres off the coast. Zanzibar is therefore a tropical island comprising several islands, the largest of which is Zanzibar Island.<\/p>\n<h2>Population<\/h2>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Tanzania is populated by more than <strong>56 million people<\/strong> and is made up of more than 120 different ethnic groups, speaking different languages and dialects. Zanzibar, meanwhile, has around <strong>1.5 million inhabitants<\/strong>, mainly Swahili and Arab.<\/p>\n<h2>Culture<\/h2>\n<p>Tanzania and Zanzibar have very diverse and unique cultures, which have been influenced by their history and relationships with other countries. Tanzania is known for its traditions of dance, music and tribal customs, while Zanzibar is renowned for its blend of Arab, African and Indian cultures, reflected in its music, cuisine and buildings.<\/p>\n<h2>Economy<\/h2>\n<p>Tanzania and Zanzibar have different economies. Tanzania is mainly focused on agriculture, with crops such as coffee, tea, cotton and sisal. Zanzibar, on the other hand, is mainly focused on tourism and is renowned for its white sandy beaches and luxury hotels.<\/p>\n<h2>Tourist attractions<\/h2>\n<p>Tanzania and Zanzibar have very different tourist attractions. Tanzania is famous for its spectacular scenery and numerous national parks, including Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro National Park and Mount Kilimanjaro.
